After doing some research and testing this methods i thought i should compile them on a nice list so here you go.

1. Blog Comments

The lastest trend in getting a lot of backlinks with high PR as well is to post comments on blogs. It’s free but it takes a lot of your time. Note that not all blog comments will be aprooved. Here is how to do it:

• Search for a dofollow blog - Look at this List of Dofollow Blogs or find them yourself using the SearchStatus firefox addon.
• Don’t be RUDE - It’s ok to disagree with other people comments but don’t irritate the blog owner too much because you won’t get a backlink for sure.
• Use your name and not your business name in the name box - A lot of people tend to leave their business names on the name box. Totally wrong. Use your name, create a gravatar and it’s all good to go.
• Don’t leave second urls in the comment - Because you already have a link make sure you don’t spam the comment by leaving other urls there.
• Write meaningful comments  - At least if you hunt for a free backlink read the post and make sure you write a good comment about it. If you simply copy and paste a sentence from notepad to all blogs, nobody will approve your comment
• Your link must be related to the blog - Let’s say you want to link on your cars blog and you post a comment on a music blog. Chances are 30% to get a link there since your link is unrelated to the blog.
• Don’t go only for Dofollow blogs - Links on Dofollow blogs increases your PR and backlinks. But nofollow links are also counted as backlinks. So no PR from them but you sure get a lot of backlinks.

2. Forum Posting

There are dozens of forums that offer a dofollow link in your signature. This list of dofollow forums might help you. You can also buy signature links on various forums starting at 3$ and going up to 40$ per month, depending on the user number of posts. This way you can get a lot of traffic and some nice backlinks as well.

3. Directory submission

This List of Free Directories is the one you are looking for. You can choose the proper category for your website and submit it for consideration. Some directories will list it immediately , the other ones will review it before listing it. The more directories receive your submission the more backlinks your website will receive. Also don’t pay for fast reviews or link exchanges. Find the real free directories.

4. Article submission

I am sure that by now you have already seen the Big List which also includes a lot of Article Directories. Write a good article and submit it to these directories. Oh..i almost forgot..write a unique one ok? Every time you submit an article that is one backlink or maybe more because some Article Directories allows you to add more than 1 link. Another precious thing about articles is that they are often copied and used on other article sites or posted on forums and this way you get more backlinks and of course a lot of visitors.

You can also pay someone around 5$ to write a good article and another 30$ to submit that article to a lot of directories…in case you don’t have the time.

5. Press Release

Same thing as article submissions. Look at the list for Press Release Directories.

6. Social bookmarking

This takes some time but it’s good for visitors and some PR of course. After you have submitted your article to most Social Bookmarking websites, and if it’s a good one, most will bookmark it and there you have visitors and backlinks.

7. Link Baiting

I really don’t encourage you to do this but i have to put it on the list. It’s a tricky and cheap way to get backlinks. Link baiting is when you post something controversial, a flame or something very interesting on your site with the intention of getting people to blog about it or post it on forums. Things like “how did i made 30.000$ over night” or “make 2$ each minute” can get you visitors. There are other Link Baiting methods but i won’t share them now. It’s unethical!!!

8. Best Tip Ever

Get your website designed or redesigned using the latest trends. Look at my site Tanicos Web Design. After you get a nice site designed submit it to CSS Galeries. Here is the list for you. Most of this CSS websites have a rank from PR4 up to PR7. You will get a lot of visitors and a very good stong backlink.
