Website valuation service

Search Engine Marketing

I write today about a website valuation service.

But first, you spend a lot of time and money on your blog. You may pay for a template, pay for hosting, pay with time for developing and promoting it etc. But what does your blog give you in return? Perhaps it generates a profit or is on the verge of doing so. And when it does it stops being a plaything with potential and transforms into a full fledged business. Maybe a tiny example of a business, but a business nonetheless.

And, as with other businesses, it has assets and an inherent value.

That’s where you may need a business valuation service. Whether you’re looking to sell or not, it’s a satisfactory feeling of achievement to know how much buyers would pay for your site. There’ve been valuation services before that are wildly inaccurate. They take your domain name and base the valuation on just the domain name itself. Or the domain and PageRank. Or the domain, PR and other publicly discernable attributes (like backlinks). For the first time, however, there’s a tool that values your website or blog based on what similar sites are selling for. It’s accurate to about 90% and that’s scarily on the ball for this kind of service. Take it for a spin: value your website.
