The Internet is going down

You must not feel offended by any means regarding this post. It’s only the truth so please accept it!

The first thing that striked me today while i was visiting digg.com was to see that 1 post had 9000 diggs and another one had about 5000. I said “wow this must be really important”. The first post was about an image captured where digg was restricting the blind digging. What’s blind digging? Well it’s when you simply click the digg button to “help a friend”. The second one was a post from a site where the person said he was 2 months ahead in the future.

All this diggs were made in 5-7 hours! I don’t blame the folks who wrote the posts of course but to get on the first page with so many diggs only for that? That’s really something. Apart from those the first page had also some interesting articles like a huge lake discovered in Russia with only 350 diggs, but who cares about that right? Another one was about a solar tower to generate food and energy with only 700 diggs but that again it’s nothing important, may some people say.

Let’s see another example.

A few years back SEO and SEM was very important and it was a hard job to get on top positions for related keywords. Today that is history. Why?

You can buy PR4 links for only 5$ monthly, there are even people that are paid with 10$ for 100 blog comments. That’s right the new “SEM” business in town is to post comments on do-follow blogs in order to get back-links and maybe who knows some visitors. Thankfully there are people that have no-follow blogs with high PR and some spam blockers like Akismet on their website. I myself tested someone which was offering this service and he told me it can be done within 1 hour. To post comments on 100 blogs within 1 hour? Come on really…i got the list after 1 hour and what did i see? “Comments” that were on no-follow blogs, same comment on many blogs..including on a post regarding the Chinese food…the comment was “The tutorial is great.thanks for the psd”….OK i think i made my point about this cheap and no good service named paid blog comments.

People are not doing anymore research, optimizing the website, try different keywords, website analyzing and so on. An old trend is to get 40-50 blogs up using free templates, paying or “stealing” some good articles, get a high PR over time and then bang…sell blog posts, sell links, sell advertising, sell everything that can be sold…even the domain after a while. So the content has no value anymore. As you can see on this website there are a lot of web design tutorials…i emailed each one of the authoring websites and asked for a permission to post their tutorial on this site, of course within some conditions…Some people replied back…wow you asked for a permission? go ahead please….We are stealing from websites content and publish it anywhere it’s possible to get a good rank in order to sell some links right?..very cheap

Another example is regarding the “high” PR links sale…Websites with PR5+ are selling links for 1200$ or 2000$, i even got an offer for 5000$ monthly! That’s a salary in most of the countries on this planet.

Domain names are selling for 4mil$, 10mil$ or even better..People it’s only a domain name…Which will be the next domain extension now, besides .love or .hate? People are hired to buy domains immediately after the extension is released, or even better the domain registrars are taking them and then selling for a lot of money.

Ok now enough with my examples, i am sure there are hundreds of them so the conclusion is:

Go get a real life and do something that’s really worthy….help the poor’s, donate something, help the one that really needs even a piece of bread…life is too short to spend it in front of the computer and doing things that will not help you next year.
