Photoshop Tutorials, Tutorials

These tutorials are mostly designed by 642-453 professionals as a pat of their 642-436 and 650-575 research. Sometimes even in 642-523 they are required to produce something similar that is then re-used later in 70-271.

Create a new Document in Photoshop - Open Photoshop, go to the File menu and choose New or press the keyboard shortcut CTRL+N to create a new document.
Add the shape - Using the Custom Shape tool from the toolbox we will select the SEAL shape from the drop down list, and add a red color. This is the Hexadecimal code i use:#e60000
Add effects to the shape - From the layers panel we will click on our Shape layer and either right-click and choose Blending Options or press the fx button from the layers panel bottom and choose Blending Options.
Outer Glow - Select the Outer Glow checkbox and enter the following options: Choose the Normal blending mode and add an 18% Opacity. Next click once on the color box and choose Black. The other options should remain as default. If you have any modified styles keep the Alt key pressed and then click the Reset button, which was initial the Cancel button.
Stroke- Select the Stroke checkbox and add a 3 PX inside stroke. You can change the stroke position by clicking the Position drop down menu. Next choose the white color for the Stroke.
Create a new Layer- Create a new layer above the your shape by clicking the “Create a New Layer” button from the Layers Panel bottom, next to the Recycle Bin icon. While pressing the Ctrl button, click the Shape layer below the new created one. This will create a selection around our shape.
Gradient Selection- From the Tools Palette choose white for the Foreground color and Red for the Background color. Choose the Gradient Tool (press the G key twice or keep the mouse button pressed on the Paint Bucket tool) and from the Toolbar click once on the gradient drop down menu, click on the Small arrow, choose Reset Gradients, Append and then make sure you have selected the Foreground to Transparent gradient.
Apply Gradient- Click on the last created Layer which is above our shape and drag the gradient over the shape from left top to middle. You can play with that and get the desired gradient. Now from the Select menu, choose the Contract option and enter a 4 px value in the box that opens. As you can see the selection is smaller now. Next go to the Select menu, choose the Inverse option and press the Delete key. After this you can add your text on the new Shiny Badge.
